EM-PLUS is a concentrated preparation of Effective Microorganisms.
EM-PLUS is a combination of useful regenerative natural microbes that produce high amounts of polysaccharides, beneficial enzymes, organic acids that help build stable aggregate & soil structure, reducing soil erosion resulting in soils that are better able to absorb & retain moisture & cycle nutrients. EM-PLUS increases the natural resistance of soil & plants & considerably improves the quality and fertility of soil as well as growth and quality of crops.
EM-PLUS is very beneficial for following applications:
· Agriculture: Reducing the dependency on fertilizers and pesticides.
· Bioremediation: Restoration of polluted or infertile soil.
· Environmental: Treatment of effluents & municipal waste.
The microbes in EM-PLUS produce bioactive substances such as vitamins hormones, enzymes, antioxidants & antibiotics that can directly or indirectly enhance plant growth & protection.
Agricultural uses of EM-PLUS: For application to soils, lawns, crops ornamentals and all other horticulture.
Environment management using EM-PLUS: For decomposition of municipal solid waste, organic waste such as farmyard manure, press mud, on-farm waste etc.
Directions: EM-PLUS can be applied through spraying or drenching or drip irrigation system. It can also be applied by broadcasting.
Application rates: Mix EM-PLUS with 1000 parts of water. Apply 2-4 litre per acre.
Storage: Do not store EM-PLUS in direct sunlight. Store in closed container at room temperature. Do not freeze.
EM-PLUS consists of five families of microorganisms:
Lactic acid bacteria: Suppress harmful microorganisms & encourage quick breakdown of organic substances. In addition, they can suppress the reproduction of Fusarium, a harmful fungus.
Yeasts: Manufacture anti-microbial & useful substances for plant-growth.
Actinomycetes: Suppress harmful fungi & bacteria.
Photosynthetic bacteria: These bacteria play a leading role in the activity of EM-PLUS. They synthesise useful substances from root secretion, organic matter and/or harmful gases by using sunlight. They contribute to better photosynthesis and nitrogen binding.
Fungi: Bring about fermentation & break down organic substances quickly. This suppresses smell & prevents damage caused by harmful insects.
Active ingredients in EM-PLUS: Lactobacillus plantarum, Lactobacillus casei, Lactobacillus fermentum, Lactobacillus delbrueckli, Bacillus subtilis, Bacilus megaterium, Sacchamyces cervevisiae, Rhodopsuedomonas palustris, Trichoderma reesel, Aspergilius niger.
