LYCRACOAT is a high molecular weight polymer paint based on sophisticated imported synthetic rubbers blended into an advanced formulation for the best properties related to waterproofing, anti corrosion and resistance to all weathering factors such as U. V. rays in Sunlight, Ozone, Acid rain, Polluted Atmospheres etc. It has been used in all types of climate ranging from freezing Himalayan to the hottest tropical conditions, with outstanding success.Almost all buildings eventually develop hollow areas in their external walls. Acidic rain water falling through polluted atmospheres, is absorbed by porous mortar which allows water to flow throughout buildings, causing damage to internal paint, plaster and furnishings and resulting in external plaster exposing the surface to further serious rain water leakage. Water entering the structural members (beams, columns and slabs) corrodes the Steel Reinforcement bars and permanently weakens the whole structure, which is a serious matter

ANTI CORROSION :

LYCRACOAT is highly anti-corrosive, when applied on Iron, Steel or other metals, even in very corrosive environments. It is very popular for use in Battery Charging Installations, Chemical and Fertilizer Plants, Railways, Steel Structures, Pipe Lines, Towers, Ducts, Vents etc. for this application.
COVERAGE :

Approximately 80 to 100 sq. ft. per lit. per coat, depending on surface smoothness and type of substrate. Generally, two coats are recommended. The thickness of each coat would be about 100 microns.

LYCRACOAT should not diluted with kerosene or mineral turpentine. Although no diluted or thinner is necessary, it can be diluted with our special thinner, only if desired.

LYCRACOAT will be touch dry in 2 hours and fully dry in 4 to 8 hours.

LYCRACOAT does not peel off the substrate. It seals fine cracks in substrates by bridging over. No primer is necessary.

LYCRACOAT is highly versatile and can be applied with brush or roller, and is ready to use.

LYCRACOAT gives an unusually thick film of 100 Microns per coat, typically, even on vertical surfaces. It withstands impact, abrasion repeated temperature cycling variations, expansion and contraction and periodic washing.

LYCRACOAT contains a highly penetrating vehicle which provides excellent adhesion, and prevents peeling or cracking.
